Pride iRide Mobility Scooter
The Pride iRide Mobility Scooter is an ultra-lightweight folding scooter for the person needing the lightest and most travel-ready scooter. The folding frame and removable seat make the iRide ideal for packing into smaller cargo areas. The frame length is 38” with an overall width of 19 to 20”. A total weight of 46.4 lbs. makes the scooter easy to manage and lift. If you would like a lighter weight to lift you can remove the seat and batteries for a convenient frame weight of 32.2 lbs. A 36 volt, 5.2 AH lithium ion battery powers the scooter. The battery weighs just 4.5 lbs.
The minimal frame doesn’t mean you can’t adjust the iRide to fit your body. The iRide has an adjustable seat height that ranges from 18” to 20”. The foldable tiller has an adjustment knob at the base to move the steering handles forward and back according to your comfort preference. Acceleration is controlled with a simple twist throttle on the right handle. While the iRide cannot go backwards, its 33.5″ turning radius allows navigation of even the tightest of spaces. There is also a manual hand brake. A supplemental foot brake can be used to stop the scooter in addition to the hand brake.
The iRide really addresses the needs of the scooter user who is looking for minimal weight and smallest storage requriement. The iRide has a digital LCD display between the handles that shows your charge level. The frame is available in four attractive colors – Lime, Mango, Arctic Ice, and Blackberry. The iRide is safe for air travel as it does have an airline-safe lithium ion battery. Please do contact your airline prior to travel to ensure they permit lithium ion batteries.

Every year we go down to the jersey shore and take this with us. I can no longer walk long distances but I still enjoy going on the boardwalk in my iRide scooter. I can brake easily even when there are alot of people around.

Buying the iRide through ScootersBuy was a great decision. The only reason I give it four stars instead of five is because I wish it came in pink or purple. Other than that this scooter rides smoothly and I take it with me wherever I go. My doctor recommended I buy a mobility scooter but I didn’t want a bulky one. That is why I really like this one because it doesn’t weigh much at all.
